Child labour and its impact on children's rights [Trabajo infantil y su incidencia en los derechos de la niñez]

The aim of this study is to analyse child labour and its impact on children's rights. This study was carried out using a descriptive documentary methodology. The study population consisted of 15 scientific articles, selected for their relevance and thoroughness in the exploration of different dimensions of this social problem. The exhaustive review of the literature shows that child labour in Ecuador is a problem deeply rooted in structural factors such as poverty, gender inequality, and deficiencies in the implementation of effective public policies. Despite legislative efforts and government interventions, significant gaps persist that perpetuate child labour exploitation, with devastating consequences for children's physical, emotional and educational development.
