In the cement industry, resource optimization and maximum equipment availability are critical factors for competitiveness. This paper presents the implementation of a scheduled lubrication plan as part of the maintenance system for the equipment at the ROCACEM S.A. San Rafael cement grinding plant. The methodology was based on an equipment criticality analysis using the VEIN (Vital, Essential, Important, Normal) criterion to prioritize maintenance actions. A complete inventory of machinery and equipment was developed, as well as the quantities, types, and classes of lubricating oils and greases used in the grinding plant. Lubrication schedules were also established, specifying frequencies, lubricant types, and quantities for each application point. The results include the standardization of lubrication tasks, optimization of lubricant stocks, and a reduction in costs associated with unplanned downtime. This structured plan strengthens the transition from reactive to preventive and predictive maintenance, improving the reliability and useful life of the machinery.
